We owe you an update

During the last year things have become quiet around Daedric Tales. And there is a good reason for that. The band went through some major changes and now it’s time to fill you in on what happened.

Any band that claims everything is always fine, is fooling themselves and others. It was not different for us. For the sake of our passion and our fans we kept sidelining differences in artistic vision, taste and goals. This ultimately lead to tensions and it was evident that the band could only move forward through breaking up this entanglement. After prolonged discussions, several members of Daedric Tales decided to separate from the band. None of this took place in a fight, the parting happened amicably. Needless to say, it was a gloomy period for all of us.

Is Daedric Tales dead?

The short answer is: No.

But in case you’re here for a more in-depth statement, we shall deliver. We bid our musical farewell to our keyboarder Gonzalo Bevilacqua, drummer Jakob Griller and the guitarists Jakob Steiner and Daniel Stockinger. As of now Daedric Tales consists of vocalist Alexandra Kastrinakis, guitarist Aryan Havrest and bassist Mathias Gasser.

What are the next steps for us?

First of all, we would like to announce that we are looking for a drummer. If you or someone you know is from Austria, Vienna or nearby and feels up to a battering challenge, we would like to invite you to get in touch and send us a demo reel.

This obviously means that we are going to continue our musical journey. Since the line-up changes we had to take an emotional and professional break from the project to reform our goals. We count on your understanding and patience, while we take the time to regather our strength and get back on track

Thank you for staying with us, especially through these tough times. Also, a huge thank you to our former members. We wish you all the best for your future projects.

Alex, Aryan and Matze
